Hyaluronic acid (also called hyaluronan or hyaluronate) is a polysaccharide that the body produces naturally. It is present in soft connective tissues. Scientists have found hyaluronic acid in eyes, joints, and skin.

Health benefits

Hyaluronic acid helps with hydration and skin and joint flexibility (1). Hyaluronic acid helps skin stretch and flex and reduces skin wrinkles and lines. Clinical studies have shown that supplementation with hyaluronic acid inhibits skin wrinkles and improves skin condition (2). Also, since hyaluronic acid is highly viscous and retains moisture, it facilitates smooth knee joint movement.
