Nature’s Most Powerful Oil
We investigated what makes Pomifera Oil stand apart from other treatment face oils. An independent lab study compared Pomifera Oil (Pure) with rosehip, argan, marula, and olive leaf oils using a standard antioxidant test that looks at how well an ingredient can neutralize free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can speed up visible skin aging by affecting collagen and the skin barrier, and antioxidants help disarm them. Antioxidants help neutralize free radicals before they can cause harm. The results are summarized in Graph 1, which ranks the oils by strength.
Graph 1: Relative Antioxidant Strength of Treatment Face Oils
The graph presents the antioxidant strength of the oils using Trolox equivalents, which is a scientific way to express antioxidant capacity relative to Trolox, a vitamin E–like reference standard. Higher Trolox equivalent values indicate greater antioxidant activity. In Graph 1, Pomifera Oil shows the highest Trolox equivalent, meaning it demonstrated the greatest free radical neutralizing ability among the oils tested. Rosehip, argan, and marula follow behind, while olive leaf oil shows the lowest value. This chart shows that Pomifera Oil has the greater antioxidant benefit per drop.
We also used a measure called EC50, which is the concentration needed to neutralize half of the free radicals present (Table 1). It is used to compare antioxidant power because it focuses on potency, not just performance at one dose. Lower numbers mean stronger activity. Pomifera Oil had the lowest EC50 at 5.50 percent, so it showed the highest antioxidant potency of all oils tested, outperforming even rosehip oil, which is widely known for antioxidants. An additional test to measure antioxidant capacity was also used (DPPH).
Table 1.
| Ingredient | EC50 | %DPPH Scavanged |
| Pure | 5.507 | 4.0 |
| Rose Hip | 6.190 | 0.251 |
| Argan | 7.844 | 0.542 |
| Cliganic (Marula) | 8.995 | 0.557 |
| Olive Oil | 19.382 | 3.028 |
Another important observation from the study was the consistency of the results. Pomifera kept strong scavenging activity even as it was diluted, while the others dropped off faster. This means that Pomifera’s antioxidant compounds are present at high density. This was a head-to-head comparison done in the same lab with the same method for every oil.
Overall, Pomifera Oil delivered more antioxidant power per drop, with no added actives or fillers.
