Rosemary Extract

Rosemary extract is obtained from rosemary leaves (Rosmarinus officinalis). The extract is concentrated by distillation and mixed with vegetable oil to form an oil extract. Rosemary contains phenolic compounds with antioxidant activities, such as phenolic acids, diterpenoids, triterpenoids, and flavonoids.1

Health Benefits

Traditionally, Rosemary has been used for digestive complaints, headaches, epilepsy and poor circulation.1,2 Rosemary contains antioxidant properties that protects the body from oxidative damage and anti-inflammatory property.1,3 Consumption of Rosemary may lower blood glucose and cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of urinary infections.4,5 It has been suggested that consuming rosemary may help slow the cognitive decline by improving speed of memory in elderly subjects.6
