Why was this study done?

Supplementing with nutrients that support nitric oxide (NO) production are known to help improve the efficiency of muscles in both athletes and non-athletes. However, when to start supplementation and how much to supplement is an unanswered question.

What did the study find?

This study found that supplementing with a natural product containing Potassium Nitrate, Quercetin, Beet Powder, Grape Extract and Spinach Powder worked best to improve athletic performance when taken over a two-week period (15 days) as opposed to taking a single dose two hours before exercise.
