Carnauba Wax
Carnauba wax is a natural plant wax obtained from the leaves of the Brazilian wax palm tree (Copernicia cerifera). The wax is separated from the leaves, melted, re-solidified, and milled into a powder. Similar to dietary fiber, natural plant waxes pass through the digestive tract unabsorbed.
Functionality
A thin layer of the natural plant wax is often used to coat tablets to provide a glossy shine on tablets.
