Beet Juice Concentrate

Beet juice concentrate is derived from beets (Beta vulgaris) that have been cleaned and extracted with hot water to produce a thick liquid concentrate. The concentrate is spray-dried onto maltodextrin (see Maltodextrin) to form a powder. Beets contain the natural red plant pigment, betanin.
