Why was this study done?
While eating a healthy diet is a goal for many people, they often fall short of supplying all the nutrients they need. This study was designed to investigate how supplementing with a multivitamin might affect blood chemistries.
What did the study find?
While the study found no changes to common blood screen (including cholesterol and triglycerides), it did find a substantial reduction in below-normal serum indicators of vitamin status.
