Why was this study done?

Vitamin C is quickly used in the body and, therefore, needs to be consumed or supplemented throughout the day in order to maintain blood levels. This study was designed to test supplementing 200 mg of vitamin C five times a day versus taking an extended release formula.

What did the study find?

The study found that the extended release formula matched the 200mg, five times a day, dosing for maintaining blood levels of vitamin C.
