Pectin
Pectin is a natural plant gum extracted from apple (Malussylvestris) pomace (the pulp that remains after the juice has been pressed from apples) or citrus fruit peels. Pectin is a water-soluble dietary fiber that thickens and forms a gel when mixed with water.
